Accessibility Statement
J.W.Pepper® Accessibility Statement
JW Pepper® is committed to facilitating the accessibility and usability of our website to all customers, including those with disabilities.
It is our policy to remove barriers to full access to our products and services whenever doing so are readily achievable. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Website Accessibility We are in the process of implementing standards as set forth by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). The Guidelines define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, Level AAA. JW Pepper® is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
It is our goal to be wholly conformant with Level AA success criteria in the very near future. To that end, you will find the early stages of Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA) supported HTML such as the association of a label with form elements, descriptive alternative text for images and buttons, and meaningful page layout.
Additionally, we have put in place processes to make accessibility and meeting the criteria of the WCAG 2.1 AA part of our website development lifecycle.
Due to the nature of the product we sell and its inherent copyright restrictions, content is not reproducible for the same sensory modality in an alternate format. In such cases, audio files serve as the alternate file format for PDF's and vice versa.
Quality ControlTesting with Assistive Technologies has become a part of our web-feature release protocol, in addition to periodic monitoring of existing content. We also include people with disabilities in our design personas.
