Nantwich Jazz Festival Line-up

ORGANISERS of the Nantwich Jazz, Blues and Music Festival are set to unveil next year’s all-star line-up at a concert night featuring From the Jam.

The band, which includes original members of the 70s group The Jam, will take to the stage at Nantwich Civic Hall on December 9 when the festival’s headline acts will be announced.

It will be the 15th annual festival to be staged over the Easter Bank Holiday and will follow last year’s performances from The Blockheads, Nearly Dan and Rumour of Fleetwood Mac.

Festival director Philip Martin, of the Crown Hotel in Nantwich, said: “Every year we aim to make the line-up even better than the previous year – and we think we’ve nailed it.”

From the Jam includes members Bruce Foxton, who was the bass player in the original band, drummer Mark Brzezicki and frontman Russell Hastings.

Mr Martin added: “The idea of putting on this early concert is to get the message out there early about the line-up.

“Feedback has told us that people are missing out on the concerts because they heard about them too late or they were sold out.”
